In my opinion, the introduction to chemistry was one of the hardest things we have learnt in the whole year of science. It includes many things such as matter, atoms, elements, and the periodic table. The atom is the smallest part of an element and they both make up matter. The easiest way to explain matter is that everything is made out of it. A thourough explanation of an element is that it is a pure substance that cannot be separated into simpler substances by physical or chemical means. A thoughrough explanation of a compund is that its a pure substance composed to 2 or more elements that are chemically combined. We learnt about elements and compounds and how they tie into each other and the periodic table. The periodic table is table that lists the symbols of elements, their densities, their atomic numbers, and their mass. This is helpful in many ways and each element is complex in its own ways.
